Paris Hilton: In Jail

Well, it's official. Today, Paris Hilton, only hours after attending the MTV Movie Awards, surrendered herself to the L.A. County Jail, where she'll serve her 23-day sentence. Hilton made a statement through her attorney before entering the jail, "This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make." Hmmm, like she didn't take an active role in the decision to drive drunk, thus causing the situation she now finds herself?

Capping things off, Hilton's record company, Warner Bros., has allegedly dropped her, claiming they're 'not expecting any new Paris Hilton material in the foreseeable future.'
