Gay Art: Raphael Perez

Raphael Perez depicts intimate relationships between two people. Whether of two men or two women, or even mixed sex couples, his ability to paint "connections" between couples emerges with stark simplicity. Contrasts between dark and light, reflect the Yin Yang of relationships, and his use of red symbolizing masculinity, passion and dominance.

Raphael Perez, was born in 1965 and was raised in Jerusalem. He currently resides and works in Tel-Aviv. His works have been exhibited in several art galleries and GLBT community centers throughout Israel.
